SureFire’s SOCOM556 SB2 Suppressor is the perfect addition to an 5.56mm SBR with a barrel 10 inches or less. The SB2 attaches to the weapon via SureFire Fast-Attach muzzle brake or flash hider, and a lightweight, highly compact design ensures any changes to the weapon’s handling or overall length are negligible. This suppressor utilizes an innovative internal design, which features a larger bore diameter to minimize the risk of baffle-strikes. This internal design also employs an internal venting system to reduce back pressure, cyclic rate and gas blowback to reduce operating temperatures considerably. In addition, the SB2 is constructed from a combination of high-temperature Inconel alloy and stainless steel, allowing the suppressor to function reliably when used with full-auto fire.
