B&T’s Station Six pistol was heavily inspired by the Welrod, an integrally suppressed single-shot pistol developed during the Second World War for clandestine operations by U.S., British and French agents. The Station Six is a modern-day version of the Welrod, and is one of the few suppressed firearms that can achieve the “Hollywood quiet” level of sound when fired. This whisper-quiet report is a result of the Station Six’s wipe suppressor. It utilizes user-serviceable wipes, and when the gun is fired, a bullet punches through the wipe. This causes a remarkably tight seal around the bullet, and drastically reduces sound. As more rounds pass through the wipe, the noise reduction gradually degrades, so maximum sound suppression is achieved with freshly installed wipes.
